Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F / 180 degrees C.Break eggs into a shallow bowl and whisk. Then mix in the milk, vanilla and cinnamon.Cut the slices of bread vertically to create sticks (I cut mine into thirds).Next, dip the bread into the egg mixture quickly (don’t let it sit too long) to coat each side. Shake off the excess egg mixture.Place french toast sticks into the air fryer basket in a single layer , making sure the pieces do not touch.Air fry for about 5 minutes on side one, flip and cook for an additional 2-3 mins. Exact cook time will depend on how crunchy you prefer your French toast sticks to be.
Chef’s Tip: Don’t leave the bread in the egg custard or it will get too saturated and fall apart. Simply give it a quick dip, drain off the excess, and get it into the air fryer straight away.

If you don’t have an air fryer, simply follow these steps for baking your French toast sticks in the oven:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 180 degrees C.Break eggs into a bowl and whisk. Then mix in the milk, vanilla and cinnamon.Cut the slices of bread vertically to create sticks (I cut mine into thirds).Next, dip the bread into the egg mixture (don’t let it sit too long) to coat each side.Place sticks on a baking tray that has been lightly coated with cooking spray.Put baking tray on middle rack in oven and bake for about 25 mins, flipping halfway through cook time.
