16 oz crescent dinner rolls, two 8 oz cans, refrigerated

1/2 cup butter

2 cups almonds, sliced

1 ⅓ cups white sugar

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Roll out dough and form into 2 large rectangles.

Press the dough over the bottom of a 15x10-inch baking pan to form a crust.

Warm butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Mix in almonds and sugar.

Stir and cook for 8 minutes or until butter sauce begins to brown.

Brush butter sauce over the dough.

Bake for 15 minutes or until pastry is flaky and well browned.

Set pastry aside to cool and slice to serve.
