This warm cream cheese dip is not limited to only American football gatherings. Some of my friends came round last weekend and this dip was devoured in 20 mins. That’s it. 20 mins… gone. If not for the excited chatting and the customary ‘how is life?’ questions it would have been gone in 10. From contributing some Superbowl party food as you cheer for your favourite football team to catching up with good friends,  to a birthday cocktail party, this is the dip all your guests will keep going back to. I have plenty of hot dips that I love, but this bacon onion Cream Cheese Dip is at the top of the list. It is sooooooooo good.

This more than just a game day food dip is sooooooo good that I can’t just keep it to myself. No matter the party or gathering you have coming up, you must try this moorish Keto Cream Cheese Dip. Don’t Have Caramelised Onion Jam? Make Your Own

Onions are naturally sweet and caramelize over time when cooking. Making caramelised onions is very easy if you do not have caramelised onion jam. It can take up to 1 hr, so plan ahead if you have to make. First, slice your onions to the desired size. I like to slice my onions thin and evenly but you can slice your onions to be on the chunky side. Depending on how many onions you are slicing, you’ll heat 1 tbsp of olive oil per onion. Heat your pan over low heat until the oil is simmering then add your onions. Spread the sliced onions evenly, stirring occasionally. Add a pinch of salt. You can add sugar to the recipe but onions are naturally sweet. Make sure to only stir every few mins. You want to ensure the onions do not stick to the pan but do get that rich brown colour. Add a tbsp of water if sticking happens. For extra flavour, once your onions are soft brown add 1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar to help deglaze the pan and bring out more of that rich and sweet onion flavour. Your onions will be sticky and carmelised. Your homemade caramelised onions will keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks covered.
