16 marshmallows
2 cup brown sugar
½ cup milk
¼ cup butter
½ cup nuts, chopped
Boil sugar and milk to the soft-ball stage (235 degrees F.).
Add butter and marshmallows, cut into small pieces.
Beat until creamy and add nuts, if desired.
Spread on cake.
