Ingredients

8 fl oz cream cheese, at room temperature

1 cup granulated sugar

½ tsp salt

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

½ cup sour cream

1 cup whole milk, at room temperature

Preparation

In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese, sugar, and salt. Beat with an electric mixer (or use a stand mixer) on medium speed until light and fluffy.

Add the vanilla and the sour cream, and beat for another minute. Stir the milk into the cream cheese mixture until completely combined.

Cover and refrigerate for one to two hours, or overnight, until completely chilled.

Add the ice cream mixture to the ice cream maker, and process according to manufacturer’s directions.
