2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 stick butter
1 onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup milk
salt , to taste
pepper , to taste
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup fresh baby peas, cooked and drained
parsley for garnishing
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large saucepan, soak the potatoes in salted water and bring it to a boil.
After some time, reduce the heat to a simmer and cook the potatoes for 15 to 20 minutes until they become tender. Afterward, drain the potatoes and set aside.
In a separate saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the onions and garlic until they soften.
Add the potatoes and mash then gradually pour in the milk until the mixture turns creamy.
Mix in the mozzarella cheese, salt, and pepper.
Lastly, stir in the peas and transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Bake it in the oven for 15 minutes until the top portion turns golden. Afterward, serve and enjoy!
