How To Make Yogurt Popsicles

Mix together yogurt and 4 tablespoons of maple syrup.Combine granola with the remaining maple syrup.Layer popsicles first by dividing the cherries between 6 mold cups.Add yogurt to each cup, then top with granola.Freeze overnight (at least 6 hours).

Cherry Popsicles Recipe Tips

You can use either fresh or frozen chopped and pitted cherries.Silicone popsicle molds are the best as you can remove the popsicles easier.Make sure to fill the molds only about four-fifths full, as the popsicles will expand during freezing.Try adding an extra layer of granola in the middle of your popsicles.Sweeten with honey instead of maple syrup, if you prefer.Feel free to swap out the cherries for berries or other sliced fruits, depending on what you have on hand. 

Prep Ahead and Storage

Prep Ahead – This is a great dessert to prep ahead and then pull out when needed. They need at least 6 hours to set up, so I recommend preparing them the day before and allowing them to freeze overnight. Storage – You can store these yogurt popsicles in the freezer for up to 3 months with no problem at all.

Homemade Yogurt Popsicle Variations

While this version is one of my favorite homemade popsicle recipes, I have created other flavor variations based on what I have available. Some suggestions:

Change the yogurt: instead of Greek yogurt, use regular yogurt or flavored yogurt.Swap the fruit: grapes, blueberries, strawberries, diced peaches, or sliced mango.Use different toppings: chopped nuts, sunflower seeds, chocolate chips, or colorful sprinkles.
