Ingredients

1 pkg fudge cake mix

1 tsp almond extract

21 oz cherry pie filling

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup sugar

5 tbsp butter

6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips, or 1 pkg

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.

Combine first 4 ingredients by hand, and stir until well mixed.

Pour into the pan.

Bake 25-30 minutes.

Combine sugar, butter and milk in a small saucepan.

Boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth.

Pour over cake.

Cool and cut into serving pieces.
