1 pkg yellow cake mix, enough for a 2-layer cake

1/4 cup butter , melted

1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1/4 cup water

2 large eggs

1 ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup pecans , chopped, or walnuts

For Drizzle:

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tsp shortening

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9-inch pan.

Combine cake mix, melted butter, brown sugar, water, eggs, chocolate chips and pecans in a large bowl. Mix with a spoon until thoroughly blended.

Spread in the pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Making the drizzle

Combine the chocolate chips and shortening in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high power for 30 seconds and stir.

Repeat if needed, until chocolate is melted. Drizzle over cooled pecan mix and allow the drizzle to set before cutting into bars.
