Tips

Use good quality chocolate like Guittard or Ghiradelli.I like to use dark chocolate chips but you can use semi-sweet chocolate chips or even milk chocolate chips. You can also use white chocolate chips for White Chocolate Orange Fudge. You can use chopped chocolate bars in place of the chocolate chips. Be sure to use 12 ounces. The fresh orange zest adds enough flavor that you don’t need orange extract in this chocolate orange fudge recipe.Dark chocolate orange fudge would taste amazing with chopped nuts such as pecan, almonds, or walnuts.

How to Make Chocolate Orange Fudge

We love these classic holiday flavors. So I decided to transform my favorite dark chocolate fudge recipe into chocolate orange fudge. Line an 8″ or 9″ square pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Butter the foil and set it aside. Place marshmallow creme, sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in a heavy-bottom saucepan, bring to boil and cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from the heat, and stir in chocolate chips, orange zest, and vanilla. Stir to melt the chocolate chips thoroughly and the mixture is smooth. Pour into the prepared pan and let set until firm before cutting into desired pieces. Cut into desired size squares and garnish with additional orange peel, if desired. The garnish just tells people this is Chocolate Orange Fudge. Enjoy and share with friends and neighbors.
