Ingredients

21 oz cherry pie filling, canned

1 cup fresh cherries, optional

2 cups Bisquick mix

⅓ cup milk

3 tbsp white sugar

1 tbsp brown sugar

3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, add the Bisquick mix, milk, white and brown sugar, and melted butter. Stir well and set aside.

Spray the bottom and sides of a 4 or 5 quart Dutch oven.

Add in the cherry pie filling on the bottom and spread evenly, then pour the Bisquick mixture on top.

Cover the Dutch oven and place it directly on the coals of a campfire or place on a standing metal campfire grill over direct heat. Cook for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, and enjoy!
