2 lb round beef, top or bottom

5½ oz yellow onion, chopped

2 cups beef broth

1 cup ketchup

¾ cup brown sugar

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp salt

1 tsp hot sauce

cooking spray

For Serving:

hamburger buns

french fries

Combine all the ingredients together in a slow cooker and cook for 6 hours on low heat, or 3 hours on high heat, until tender

After removing the roast, allow the roast to rest briefly.

Transfer remaining liquids to a saucepot and reduce this in half or until the sauce thickens.

Carve as thin as possible to match that fine slicing at Arby’s.

Assemble your sandwich. Top with roughly 4-ounce sliced roast beef. Place the top bun and serve with the sauce on the side and french fries.
