For Pan Dough:

3 tsp active dry yeast

1 cup water, warm

⅔ cup light olive oil, add more for greasing

3½ cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp sugar

2 tsp salt

For Pizza Topping:

1 tsp dried oregano, crushed

1 tsp dried basil, crushed

12 oz mozzarella cheese, grated

½ lb Italian sausage, slightly cooked, drained, and crumbled

¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated

1 cup marinara sauce

For Garnish:

1 tsp parmesan cheese

1 tsp parsley, chopped

In a mixing bowl, combine yeast and sugar into the warm water and stir until dissolved. Set aside for at least 5 minutes.

Stir flour, olive oil, and salt. Add the yeast mixture. Mix for about 3 minutes or until dough forms, knead on a flat surface dusting with flour when needed.

Coat a large bowl with olive oil and transfer the dough into the bowl. Turn to coat the dough entirely.

Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for around 1 hour. Roll the dough out.

Press the dough into an oiled 15-inch deep pan and spread out evenly. Let some of the dough ride up the side of the pan. Let sit for about 30 minutes to rise

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F then precook pizza dough for 10 minutes.

Spread mozzarella cheese slices in a thick layer on the dough. Press sausage on top of cheese then add dried basil and oregano.

Spread marina sauce then top with parmesan cheese.

Bake for about 35 minutes or until the edges of the crust are golden brown.

Let pizza stand for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Top with parsley and parmesan cheese for garnish. Serve.
