How To Make Crockpot Candy

Ingredients Needed
Chocolate – I used a mixture of white chocolate chips, semisweet chocolate chips, and German chocolate for this recipe.Almond bark – Grab yourself a bar of this white candy from your favorite store.Roasted salted peanuts – Use any brand you like (just try not to eat them all before adding to the slow cooker).Sprinkles – A selection of Christmas sprinkles; the more the merrier.
Make The Crockpot Christmas Candy
Lightly spray the crockpot insert and add in all the ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 1-2 hours. After the first hour, stir the mixture every 20 minutes. Drop spoonfuls of the candy mix onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, stopping after every 6 or so to add Christmas sprinkles. Allow candy to set for at least one hour in a cool place – preferably a refrigerator – until set.Serve immediately, or store the candy inside an airtight container in a cool area.
Recipe Tips
For the best tasting candy, use good quality chocolate.You need to keep the mixture warm when scooping, so leave the crockpot on during this process.To make scooping easier and ensure the clusters are the same size, I like to use a small cookie scoop.Make sure to add the sprinkles while the chocolate is still warm and soft so they will adhere. Set out about 6 candy clusters at a time, then add sprinkles before scooping out the next 6 clusters, and then keep repeating.If you prefer, you can scoop the peanut clusters into cupcake liners instead of directly on the baking sheets.You can easily double this recipe to serve a crowd or to make edible gifts. Just make sure your crockpot is large enough for all the ingredients.
Recipe Variations
This Christmas candy recipe is super versatile! Try some of these easy variations;
Swap the chocolate – Feel free to use just white chocolate or german chocolate instead. Other add-ins – mix in other goodies like chopped pretzels, pecans, or dried cranberries.Vary the sprinkles – Accessorize your candy with sprinkles in different colors and shapes to suit different occasions, such as Halloween, Easter, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Game Day, etc.
