What You’ll Need To Make This Easy Pantry Recipe
pasta olive oil frozen diced onion (or fresh) frozen diced bell pepper (or fresh) minced garlic Greek seasoning or dried oregano diced tomatoes canned tuna mozzarella cheese or mixed with other cheese
How To Make Cheesy Tuna Casserole
Preheat the oven to 400F / fan assisted 180C / 200C / gas 6. Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions until almost done. You want the pasta al dente. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the diced onion and pepper cook for about 6 minutes until soft. Stir in the garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant and mix in the diced tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from the heat, stir in the cooked pasta and tuna and transfer into a casserole dish. Add the cheese on top and bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Recipe Variations
change the vegetables such as adding/substituting with peas, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, etc. top the tuna fish casserole with panko, breadcrumbs, chips, or crispy noodles to add more crunch. any type of pasta can work in a pinch, use what you have in your pantry. Feel free to used canned salmon instead.

Let it cool before covering with foil and freezing. Alternatively, freeze before baking. Be sure to thaw it fully before baking so it cooks evenly. Store in the freezer for 3 months.
Thaw and Reheat
Thaw the cooked frozen tuna casserole in the fridge overnight. Bake it at 400F / 200C/ gas 6 until it has been heated through.
