Ingredients

2lbscheese curds

1½cupsbuttermilk

1½cupsflour

1tspbaking soda

2tspgarlic salt

1egg

6cupsoil,vegetable, canola or peanut oil

Preparation

Heat oil to 375 degrees F. Use a thermometer and watch carefully.

Whisk together buttermilk, flour, baking soda, garlic salt and egg until smooth.

Coat several cheese curds with batter.

Fry a few at a time, for several seconds, until golden brown.

Drain on paper towel.

Serve immediately and enjoy while fresh!
