Ingredients

1 tsp canola oil

½ cup corn syrup, light

3⁄4 cup brown sugar, light

1⁄4 cup water

½ tsp salt

1⁄4 tsp vanilla extract

16 oz popcorn, (1 package) 94% fat-free, microwave

Preparation

Combine oil, corn syrup, brown sugar, water, salt in a small saucepan over med heat.

Stir while bringing to a boil, then use a candy thermometer to bring to 300 degrees F or hard crack stage.

When it reaches about 275 degrees F, start cooking the popcorn according to package directions.

When candy has reached the right temp, add vanilla and remove from heat.

Pour hot popcorn into large plastic or glass bowl and quickly pour the candy mix on top.

Stir so that the candy coats all the pieces.

Serve and enjoy.
