4 lb spare ribs, country-style
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, low-sodium
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup cider vinegar
2 cups light barbecue sauce
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Trim and discard the excess fat from ribs.
Put meat in an 8 qt. pan and add water to barely cover. Add vinegar.
Cover and bring to boil over high heat. Reduce heat and boil gently for 20 minutes.
Drain ribs and arrange in an 11x13 inch pan.
Combine all other ingredients and brush evenly over ribs. Cover and chill for 2 to 4 hours or overnight if possible. Turn ribs several times periodically.
After marinating, place on a BBQ grill and cook 20 to 40 minutes until well done and glazed. Continue to turn and brush with sauce.
Garnish with green onions and serve.
