Pro Tips

Choose freestone peaches. This means you can easily remove the pit when you cut the peaches in half. If you are having trouble removing the pit, try using a melon baller to scoop out the pit. Look for slightly firm peaches. Juicy peaches have more sugar which means they will be prone to burning on the grill or in the air fryer. Cut peaches in half before grilling, rather than smaller slices so they don’t fall through the grates on the grill. You may need to adjust the cooking time depending on the size of your peaches.

Delicious Variations

Serve with Meat – Skip the ice cream and serve the grilled peaches alongside grilled meat for a tasty summer side dish. Add Whipped Cream – Grilled peaches topped with a little bit of whipped cream is a lighter option than ice cream.Grill Other Fruits – The same concept can be used for grilling other fruits like nectarines, pears or watermelon. You may need to adjust the cooking time depending on the fruit. Got Leftover Peaches? Chop or slice them and serve with a cheese plate, on a salad or as a topping for yogurt, cereal or oatmeal.

Make Ahead And Storage

Prep Ahead – Chop walnuts and set out the ice cream to soften a bit while you grill the peaches.  Store – Store any leftover grilled peaches in the fridge. Refrigerate for up to a week.  Freeze – Leftover peaches can be frozen but will be very soft when thawed so they are best enjoyed warm off the grill or within a few days.
