3 lb ham, (up to 4 lb), boneless, pre-cooked, or 6 to 7 lb bone-in

1½ cup brown sugar, divided

¼ cup honey

½ tsp ground cloves

1 lb pineapple chunks, (1 can), undrained

To Serve:

2 tbsp cloves, whole

1 lb pineapple rings

⅓ lb maraschino cherries

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F. Score the ham, optionally in a spiral design.

Cover the bottom of the roasting pan with half of the brown sugar and put the ham on top of it.

Cover the ham with the pineapple chunks and their juice.

Drizzle honey around the ham, then sprinkle the ham with ground cloves and the remaining brown sugar.

Cover with foil and bake on Low for 4 to 5 hours.

Once your ham is cooked, drain from the pan, then transfer the remaining contents into a saucepot.

Bring sauce to a boil. Continue reducing for roughly 10 minutes until thick and syrupy.

Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees F.

Brush the syrup around the ham, then broil for around 10 minutes until the crust turns golden brown.

Brush another coating, then decorate with pineapple rings, cherries, and whole cloves around your ham. Portion accordingly and serve.
