Ingredients

2 lb ground chuck

3 tbsp butter, not margarine

½ cup rice, uncooked

2 stalks celery , diced

1 tomatoes, undrained

3 cups water

½ cup onion, chopped

2 green peppers, diced

salt and pepper

1 bay leaf

Preparation

Brown ground chuck in 3 tbsp of butter and then drain.

Add rest of ingredients.

Cook for 45 minutes.

Sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese over soup in individual bowls.

Serve with warm Italian bread or rolls.
