1 yellow onion , peeled and sliced
2 cups broccoli
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 pie crust , unbaked, 9 inch
4 eggs , beaten
salt
pepper , to taste
½ pound Swiss cheese , grated into coarse pieces
1 ½ cups milk
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare filling:
In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
Cook garlic, broccoli, and onion in the butter. Cook and stir until vegetables are soft.
In a bowl, combine milk and eggs and season it with the salt and pepper.
Add a teaspoon of melted butter and stir.
Assemble:
Pour vegetables into the unbaked pie crust. Sprinkle with cheese.
Add in the milk and egg mixture.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the center has set.
