To celebrate the hot-to-cold coffee switch, I think we should drink a lot of Iced Maple Syrup Cardamom Coffee. At least two glasses a day to keep the celebration going. It’s also nearly UK Coffee Week (16-22 April) so maybe an extra glass to celebrate that too. (We will all be very productive during this celebration.) You will love the wonderful flavours of Iced Maple Syrup Cardamom Coffee and you will also love that it is a healthier treat. Healthier how?

No strange additives. Coffee, milk, maple syrup and cardamom pods… that’s it. No refined sugars. It’s sweetened only with maple syrup, a more natural sweetener.

Iced Maple Syrup Cardamom Coffee is just a good, good-for-you drink.

What is Cardamom?

Cardamom is one of my favourite spices, evidenced by the loads of cardamom recipes on the blog (like Orange and Cardamom Baked Salmon and Orange Cardamom Buns). I tend to add cardamom to a lot of foods – and drinks. It just gives that little extra flavour and aroma that temps you to reach for the next glass… and then the next. The spice cardamom is harvested from a few different plants, and some produce green cardamom pods whilst others produce black cardamom pods (the kind I’ve used in Iced Maple Syrup Cardamom Coffee). It is best to buy cardamom still inside the pods and discard the pods immediately before use.

Why Maple Syrup Coffee?

I could have used honey in this cardamom coffee (and you can use it if you prefer), but I chose to make maple syrup coffee instead. Maple syrup and cardamom complement each other so well – the flavour combo is divine. Make sure to use a high-quality, genuine maple syrup for the best flavour.

How to Make Iced Maple Syrup Cardamom Coffee in 2 Easy Steps

Step 1. Add the cardamom pods and maple syrup into the hot coffee, mix and leave the coffee to cool down completely and let the cardamom flavour infuse into the coffee. Step 2. Mix in the milk  and then pour into chilled glasses with the ice in them.

Your maple syrup cardamom coffee is served. So easy, so good. I hope this healthier coffee treat brings you much happiness… and productivity.
