Ingredients

2 cup fennel bulb, thinly sliced

½ cup fat-free sour cream

½ cup plain fat-free yogurt

¼ cup red onion, finely chopped

2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped

1 tbsp lemon rind, grated

1 tbsp honey

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 garlic clove, minced

½ cup feta cheese, crumbled, with basil and garlic

¼ cup pimiento-stuffed olives, chopped

2 tbsp Greek seasoning

¼ tsp salt

1 lb lean ground lamb

1 lb ground turkey breast

cooking spray

4 pita bread, 6-inches, cut in half

Preparation

Prepare your grill or broiler.

To prepare the salad, simply combine the first 10 ingredients in a bowl.

Now that your salad is ready, start making the burgers. Begin by combining the cheese and the next 5 ingredients (cheese through turkey) in a large bowl.

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions, shaping each into a ½-inch thick patty.

Place the patties on a grill rack or broiler pan coated with cooking spray, then cook them for 4 minutes on each side until they’re done.

Next, cut the patties in half and place ¼ cup of salad in each pita half. Afterward, serve your burgers alongside your salad and enjoy!
