Ingredients
4 fl oz tequila, (4 shots)
2 fl oz lavender simple syrup, (2 shots) (recipe below)
1 fl oz lime juice, (1 shot)
½ fl oz orange liqueur, (½ shot)
1 tbsp lavender sugar , or as needed
ice cubes, as needed
lime wedges , as needed
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup water
2 tbsp dried lavender buds
Preparation
Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepot and bring it to a boil. Continue boiling until the sugar has dissolved completely, no more than 5 minutes.
Once melted, remove the syrup away from the heat. Add your lavender buds and stir to combine.
Set aside and allow to infuse in the syrup for at least 3 hours. Strain the syrup once infused and discard any solids.
Place some lavender sugar onto a saucer.
Moisten the rim of either your rock or cocktail glass with a lime wedge, then place the rim down onto the lavender sugar to coat. Set the glass aside.
Into a cocktail shaker, fill it up with roughly ⅓ cup ice, then pour in your alcohol, lavender syrup, and lime juice.
Shake to combine, then strain and pour the margarita into your chosen glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy your lavender margarita!
