What is Sangria

Sangria is a traditional Spanish drink made from a mixture of wine, fruits, fruit juices and some sort of sweetener. You can also get versions with added spices. The variations are endless with everyone having their own favourite version.

Non Alcoholic Sangria for Christmas

During the holiday season, I like to make sure I have at least one mocktail ready to serve alongside all my Christmas cocktails. And friends, this colorful drink is perfect for serving up during the holiday season. To make this drink holiday party worthy, use oranges, apples and cranberries as the fruit base, swap the red grape juice for cranberry juice, and add in a few cinnamon sticks and some star anise.

Why You’ll Love It

It can be made well in advance, which means less work for you when the guests arrive. It can easily be doubled or tripled when entertaining a crowd.Plus, you can also easily adapt it to make a more traditional adults-only beverage like this Sangria Cocktail.Great for cocktail parties, brunches, children’s teas parties, summer picnics, weddings and impromptu get-togethers.

A red version starts with red grape juice. You can also use cranberry juice or pomegranate juice. To make a white virgin Sangria, use white grape juice as the base. And for a rosé Sangria Mocktail, use a combination of half red grape juice and half white grape juice.
