1 cup oats

½ tsp. salt

2 cups water

1 cup dates, pitted and halved

Bring water to a boil.

Add salt and add rolled oats slowly.

Cover over low flame in a double boiler.

Cook 45 minutes.

When done add dates.

Mix thoroughly.

Serve with cream and sugar.
