Ingredients

¼ cup butter, softened

⅔ cup white sugar

2 eggs

3 tbsp flour

¾ cup evaporated milk

¼ cup water

1 tsp vanilla

1 *pie crust, (see Recipe Notes for recipe)

nutmeg, for garnish

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Cream butter and gradually add sugar, beating well. Mix the eggs and flour well.

Stir in milk, water, and vanilla. Pour the custard into the pie crust.

Bake for 20 minutes. Then, reduce heat to 300 degrees F and bake for 15 more minutes.

Let cool and serve garnished with nutmeg.
