Ingredients
4 cups peaches, sliced
17 oz dark sweet cherries in heavy syrup, drained or 1 1/4 cup pitted cherries, pitted
1 cup oats, uncooked (quick or old fashioned)
1 tsp lemon juice
½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
⅓ cup nuts, chopped
¼ cup butter , melted, or regular margarine
½ tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
Grease and lightly flour an 8-inch square baking pan.
Combine peaches and lemon juice in prepared dish.
Top with cherries.
Combine the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Sprinkle over fruit.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown.
