2 cans pears , in heavy syrup

1 tsp almond extract

3 tbsp crystallized ginger

Fresh mint sprigs, as desired, for garnish

Place canned pears in the freezer overnight or for at least 8 hours.

When ready, remove cans from the freezer and place them in hot water for 1-2 minutes.

Open cans and pour pears in a food processor. Add almond extract and ginger and process until smooth.

Place in individual bowls and garnish with mint sprigs to serve.
