Ingredients
10 oz miniature marshmallows
¼ cup butter
5 cups rice krispie cereal
1 cup speckled eggs, such as M&Ms
½ cup white melting wafers , such as Ghirardelli or Wilton’s, melted
9 peeps
Preparation
Line a 9x9-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a large microwave safe bowl, heat the marshmallows and butter in the microwave for 90 seconds. Stir until marshmallows are melted and smooth.
Add the cereal. Use a large spatula to mix until all the cereal is coated in the marshmallow mixture. Gently fold in the M&Ms.
Press the krispie mixture into the lined baking dish gently until level.
Let cool for at least 30 minutes. Once the marshmallow has cooled and set, cut the Krispies into 9 squares.
Drizzle the melted white wafers over each of the krispie treats and top with a Peep. Allow candy to cool and harden before serving or packaging.
