Ingredients
¾ tsp salt
½ pkg semisweet chocolate morsels, melted
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 eggs
1 cup granulated white sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
⅔ cup evaporated milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 pie crust shell, frozen
whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream, optional for topping
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Pre-bake the pie crust according to package instructions.
Combine the melted chocolate, melted butter, eggs, sugar, flour, cocoa, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Stir or whip it using a hand mixer until smooth.
Add the pecans.
Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Bake it for 40-45 minutes or until the pie is set but still slightly jiggles in the middle.
Serve hot or chilled. Top with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
