How To Make FlatBread
Mix the flour and yogurt (and oil and any other add-ins if using) in a mixing bowl until combined.Add dough to a floured work surface with flour and knead for a minute so it comes together.Divide the bread dough into 8 and roll these sections into balls.Flatten each ball and then use a rolling pin to roll each piece into 10-12 cm rounds.Heat a skillet or frying pan till hot, spray on a little oil and add your flatbread. use a little oil on the work surface to stop the dough sticking. When the pan is really hot, lay the flatbread in the pan and cook each one for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.Repeat until all the flatbreads are cooked.
Yogurt Bread Recipe Tips
I prefer a slightly crunchy on the edge yogurt flatbread, so I roll them out thinner and cook a little longer. You can easily double or triple the recipe but then have at least 2 skillets on the go so you can cook them faster. Cook time depends on the thickness and size of the rolled dough – so start out with less time if you are unsure and increase accordingly.
Recipe Variations
You can flavor your flatbread however you wish. I suggest you make a basic plain batch, split it into portions and get everyone to sprinkle on their add-ins as they are rolling out the dough. Here are just a few mix-in suggestions to try:
