Quicker To Make?

I mostly do still fry tomatoes as this is a lot quicker. However, when time permits, I throw them in the oven and cook them slowly in their own juices until they are just perfect. These Air Fryer Slow Roasted Tomatoes (yes we make them in the air fryer too) taste delicious along with the whole roasted garlic and make a delicious appetizer, side dish, or main meal add-in. And feel free to add a pinch of sugar or sweetener to make these a little bit sweeter.

Why Slow Roast Tomatoes

Slow-roasting tomatoes really concentrates their flavor with a little bit of juiciness on the inside, yet a bit dryer chewier outside (much juicier than sun dried tomatoes). If you are short on time then do a quicker oven roast.

Why Make This Recipe

Ingredient Notes

Tomatoes – I tend to make this with a mixture of grape and cherry tomatoes as they cook up quicker, but you can use larger tomatoes like Beefsteak tomatoes, Romas, etc. Just add a bit more cooking time. Use a range of colors for a stunning effect.Oil – Use good olive oil as you want to dip into that oil afterward.Garlic –  Use whole garlic cloves. You can easily squeeze that flavored roasted garlic onto some pasta or bread after roasting.Salt – Salt completes this, but only add a little as the flavor of the tomatoes is highly concentrated at the end.
