Ingredients

2 sticks butter , or margarine

⅓ cup corn syrup

1 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

4 cups oatmeal

1 cup flaked coconut

½ cup walnuts , or pecans, chopped

8 oz. marshmallows

4 cups Rice Krispies cereal

½ cup chocolate chips

½ cup peanut butter

Preparation

In a large saucepan, over low heat, melt and stir butter, syrup, sugar and vanilla.

Stir in oats, coconut and nuts.

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for about 3 minutes.

Stir in the marshmallows and when melted stir in the Rice Krispies.

Using a buttered spatula or wooden spoon, press mixture evenly into buttered 9x13 inch pan.

Cool. In a small pan melt chocolate chips and peanut butter.

Spread over oatmeal mixture.

Cool again and cut into squares.
