Ingredients

3 cups all purpose flour

2 eggs

1 cup butter, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

2 tsp vanilla, grated

lemon zest, grated

½ tsp salt

½ cup sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Preparation

In a large bowl, beat butter, eggs, and 1½ cup sugar until light and fluffy.

Add sour cream and vanilla, blending until smooth.

Gradually add in the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line up baking sheets with parchment paper.

With a cookie scooper or a spoon, drop batter by slightly rounded teaspoonful. Leave at least 2 to 3 inches of space between cookies.

For the topping, in a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Then, sprinkle on top of the cookies.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
