½ cup onion, diced
½ cup celery, diced
12 oz ground turkey
1 box frozen spinach
2 slices bread, made into crumbs
½ tsp poultry seasoning
1 tsp garlic salt
½ tsp pepper
¼ cup sunflower seeds
Optional Mushroom Sauce:
1 cup mushrooms
½ onion
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp pepper
2 cups water
2 tbsp cornstarch
¼ cup water
For the Turkey Burger:
Drain spinach and squeeze excess water out.
Mix all ingredients.
Divide evenly into patties and fry in nonstick skillet. 4 servings of 3 cakes each.
Mushroom Sauce Option:
Brown one small can of mushrooms in the same skillet you fried the burgers in.
Add more onions if you like.
Add 2 cups of water to the skillet and bring to a boil.
Add all the seasonings. Stir up 2 tbsp cornstarch into about a ¼ cups water.
Add this mixture to the skillet stirring constantly until it starts to thicken.
Add the burgers to the gravy and serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
