Watermelon Tequila Ice Pops come together easily with just a blender, popsicle mold, and these ingredients –

Watermelon – use sweet ripe watermelon. Preferably seedless, otherwise you have to remove the seeds.Lime juice – You need fresh lime juice for this, not the bottled stuff.Lime slices – optional for adding colour and fun to the ice pops.Tequila – Add the signature flavor to the ice pops. Just use your favorite one.Pink Himalayan salt – You can use regular sea salt flakes instead.

How to Make Watermelon Margarita Popsicles

Cut the watermelon into cubes, remove the rind and place into blender. Mix until smooth.Next, add in the lime juice, tequila, and Himalayan salt to the blender. Blend until well mixed.Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for about 2 – 2.5 hrs.Remove the popsicle molds from the freezer, and add in lime slices. Freeze for an additional 3 – 4 hrs until fully frozen. Remove the ice lollies from the mold and serve.

Frozen Margarita Popsicles Tips

You can replace the watermelon with other fruit, such as mango, papaya or pineapple. Strawberry margarita popsicles are a personal fave.For extra fun, add a sprinkle of extra salt on the top of the popsicle just like the salt rim of the drink.Make these a fun poptail, by serving these in an actual Margarita.Because of the alcohol, you will need to freeze these for at least 5-6 hours for them to harden. Freeze them overnight if you can. Try layering and freezing different fruit purées in stages to create stunning multi-colour popsicles.When blending your ingredients together start with a slower setting and then increase speed.Cutting the watermelon into smaller cubes will result in getting a smoother purée faster.Swap out the tequila for some rum to make a batch of delicious daiquiri popsicles.
